Oregon Coast
No wind in Hood River
The temperature came up and the wind died here in Hood River. We decided on a small road trip to the Oregon Coast on the Pacific Ocean to do some wave sailing. Newport was out destination and we lucked out with some small waves and wind for 4.2 on the first day. The 2nd day the waves were really nice but the wind didn't want to cooperate.
That was the end of our 2 day road trip and now are back in Hood River. The crazy thing on the drive back is that on the beach at the coast the air temperature was around 17 degrees, while after only 15 minutes of driving inland the temperature was already around 30 degrees. I woke up this morning to 37 degrees, but things should be cooling off soon here in Hood River and the wind should be returning tomorrow.
Unfortunately we have no sailing shots from the coast, but check out these scenery shots by Adrian Baniak who came with us. The road to the coast is truly scenic and the beach itself looks incredible.
