PWA Sylt World Cup

Shoulder Injury

On the first day of freestyle conditions in Sylt I dislocated my shoulder in my first heat. A weird crash was the cause, and I ended having to be taken off the water through the shore break on a seadoo, then off to the hospital.

Currently my arm is in a sling and resting. It looks like the competition for me is over, but I should be fine for my trip to Brazil mid-October.

The most dissapointing part is that I had a good chance to finish this year ranked in the top 10, as I was 8th coming into this event. My result from here will definitely make me drop some places. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that at the moment other than make sure I am well prepared and healthy next year to try again.
